FOUR SEASONS RESORT COSTA RICA AT PENINSULA PAPAGAYOCosta Rica is a rugged, rainforested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific, it is a peaceful small democracy, barely 200 miles wide and 300 miles long, it is sandwiched between Panama to the South and Guatemala to the North, Its capital, San Jose, is centrally located, and the main entry point for the 1.7 M visitors, mainly from the USA and Canada.
Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Roughly a quarter of its area is made up of protected jungle, teeming with wildlife including spider monkeys and quetzal birds.
We had arrived from Dallas about a four hour flight to the Liberia International Airport ( LIR) a city in northern Costa Rica, near to the Papagayo Peninsula where we had chosen to stay at the Four Seasons Resort a secluded luxury resort overlooking the Pacific.
The hotel arranged the transfer and has everything you could wish for to have a totally restful week in this tropical paradise. Our fabulous beach side room with bath tub views of the turquoise water.
WOKE TIP :Sustainability is a pleasing theme in the resort and the Country is renowned for its environmental conservation.
Many visitors explore the jungle interior and enjoy getting to know nature, as we did on the golf course.

The course is immaculate with stunning views across the Pacific. Our hotel had enough going on for us that we could have stayed on the resort for entire stay from Spa to golf to gym to beach and our daily morning walk with purpose walking all around the resort!
Wining & Dining at the Four Seasons
Other than days we took a trip off site went off site we dined on the resort and selection of four eateries to choose from including two all day dining restaurants Anejo & Bahia. We had a date on a few mornings with the local fisherman to choose our fish for dinner fabulous experience and own chef to cook it ! While at La Reserva you had the opportunity to mix own cocktails!
The Spa at the Four Seasons :
We spent quality time in the fabulous Spa at the hotel including indulging in the COUPLE’S SPA EXPERIENCE where we had Side-by-side massages and explored the waterfall whirlpools.While the good lady had a fantastic facial and loved the local Pacific Clarifying Scrub ! The scrub locally sourced provides softness and nutrition, leaving the skin smooth, hydrated and luminous.

Zip Lining while not for the faint hearted is fun and fabulous experience to explore the Costa Rican canopy by zip-lining through the dry forests of the prestigious Papagayo Peninsula. The tour has 24 platforms and 11 cables ranging from 330ft to 1,480ft feet in distance. Soar through the trees and experience the beauty of Costa Rica and its abundant wildlife!
Monteverde Treetop Walk we took an exhilarating walk through the famous cloud forest on hanging bridges. A treetop walkways gives a fantastic aerial view of the forest, wildlife and ecosystem below us . A natural experience to see a big variety of unique tropical flora & fauna, while having much fun!
Watersports /Sailing: There is an abundance of watersports including sailing excursions,boat tours & snorkelling all very close to the Four Seasons which the concierge will arrange for you.
Sloth Encounter Tour and Waterfalls in the Rain Forests: For a relaxed activity this fun day tour through Costa Rica’s rainforest is a must. You hike with a knowledgeable guide who will help you spot lots of animals in the wild, such as cute sloths. It also takes in a visit an eco-tourism project complete with coffee and banana plantations and a visit to the spectacular waterfall.
We really enjoyed our holiday in Costa Rica , a lovely country to explore. While our stay at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo was magical , as always the Four Seasons surpassed our expectations and with so much to do at the hotel you really wouldn’t have to leave the resort if you didn’t want to !!
