Although through work I have spent a lot of time at the fabulous #beyondeverything Adare Manor it is still so special to visit in a personal capacity not to mention that we had our wedding at Adare Manor some years back ! So when the opportunity arose to meet up & stay with some family who were on their staycation there this summer we jumped at it!
On arrival you could be forgiven for thinking everything is normal the valet parks your car and we were swiftly shown to our state room “home away from home” for next couple of days!
Quick snack in the Drawing room before the ladies head to the fabulous La Mer Spa for an afternoon of pampering facials & massages leaving us feeling renewed & totally chilled! We completed our spa visit with a dip in the indoor pool overlooking the beautiful gardens remember you do need to pre book the pool & gym in the current climate!
While the guys had a round of golf on the Celebrated Tom Fazio parkland paradise course befitting the Ryder Cup in 2027! The course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.
Dinner on night one had to be in the Michelin star Oak Room & what a fabulous experience it was enhanced by the setting overlooking the golf course & formal gardens it is surely the finest Michelin star restaurant in Ireland . We opted for the three course menu but with the amuse bouche and other wonderful additions we certainly exceeded three courses! While night two we dined in the Carriage House restaurant which was equally fabulous in its own way, obviously less formal but still great food in a lovely setting. Alway lovely to finish up in the Tack room after dinner for a pre bed tipple!!
Other activities a must on the resort include Falconry, Archery, Afternoon Tea, Fabulous walks on the 840 acre estate & for all you Whiskey lovers a Tasting of some of The Adare Manor whiskey collection is a must!
No visit to Adare would be complete without a visit to the fabulous boutiques, quaint shops and heritage centre in the village . You will also find restaurants including award winning 1826 and cozy Irish pubs serving pub grub and great Guinness all within walking distance of the Manor .
